 David and Camilla Hollands Hurst completed the Chichester Priory 10K Road Race on the 12th October, 2008 to raise money for Alpha-1 Awareness.
It was a beautiful warm October day and although they found the race hard going they still managed a personal best time of 53:27 which is a fantastic achievement.
They were overwhelmed with the support and generosity, and exceeded their fund raising target of £750 which now stands at £863!
David and Camilla lost their dearest mother-in-law and grandmother Fiona Miles, known as 'Dannie', in April to emphysema brought on by alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency."We only found out after she passed away that there was a charity that is working hard to raise awareness about Alpha 1 and decided that we would like to do something to help them out in their good work"
