Alpha1 Awareness UK is charity formed to help Alphas in the United Kingdom.
Objectives of Alpha 1 Awareness
- –To improve understanding of alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD) by patients
- –To publicise AATD to medical professionals
- To link interested organisations through a website
- –To build a national network of patients
- –To become a pressure group to increase •research and •the availability of successful treatments
- To develop a platform for patient support.
